This years proceeds will benefit Barbara’s Friends and the family of Timothy Gardner who passed away following an auto accident on January 10, 2016. Tim was a friend of many but a hero to all. His generosity and time he spent volunteering will leave a lasting mark on our community. Tim’s lifelong joy of helping the youth of North Fort Myers will always be remembered. Wow!!! As always, I am grateful for the generosity of some many who help make this tournament such a huge success. The tournament raised over $17,000 which we will be donating to Grace for Chase through Barbara’s Friends! We had 37 boats register and our winning team, Psychobilly Fire Department, took 1st Place, with a combined total of 14.92# for two redfish.

Ok folks…so we are a little behind in the planning stages, but yes, the 11th Annual Ryan McCleskey Redfish Challenge is taking place on Saturday May 23, 2015, at Cape Harbour. We should have more information with regards to the Captains Meeting in the upcoming week. Registration and Sponsorship Opportunities are now available! After surpassing the $100,000 mark last year, it is time to raise the goal…how about another $50,000! Wow! What can I say…what a year and what a turnout for the 10th Annual Ryan McCleskey Redfish Challenge which took place on May 24, 2014. We had 55 boats register for the event, and thanks to the generosity of all our sponsors, participants, family, friends and the community, we raised a little over $20,000!!

Once again, the Ninth Annual Ryan McCleskey Redfish Challenge was a huge success! I can not thank you enough to all our participants, sponsors, friends, and family, that make this event so successful! We raised over $13,000 for Barbara’s Friends – The Golisano Children’s Hospital Cancer Fund, and are still hoping in the next few months to make that $15,000! The tournament has raised close to $80,000 in 8 years! I have no doubt the next year we can get to that $100,000 mark! Pictures to the gallery will be posted soon.
